World Poultry Science Association Nigeria Branch (WPSA-NB)
The World Poultry Science Association Nigeria Branch, is among the 69 Branches of WPSA spread worldwide. WPAS-NB objectives are in accordance with WPSA objectives which include; promoting advancement of knowledge in all aspects of poultry science and the poultry industry. This involves the spread and exchange of information amongst people with an interest in the poultry industry. With growing membership strength that cuts across all parts of Nigeria from the academia to the industry and to the private sector and the public sector.
Since inception, WPSA-NB has been functioning along with the three Cardinal principles of WPSA centered on education, organization and research in Nigeria poultry industry. Among the on-going regular programs of WPSA-NB are: Annual Poultry Fair, ‘Open Day’ for schools children, Publications such as Poultry Science Journal, Annual Conferences, Seminars and Workshops on topical issues based on the prevailing situation in the Nigeria poultry industry.
