Nigeria International Poultry Summit (NIPS)
The NIPS is planned to be a biennial event of World Poultry Science Association – Nigeria Branch (WPSA-NB) taking place in Nigeria, Africa and involving the meeting of all local, international experts and other stakeholders in Poultry Industry to exchange knowledge on the state of Poultry Industry Worldwide with special emphasis on Nigeria and Africa.

“To establish and maintain continuously, a globally acclaimed data bank for Nigeria and other African Nations’ agro-industry, in order to enhance appropriate, sustainable and abundant quality poultry output with an appropriate consumer based market, viable in the dynamic and competitive global poultry industry”
Mission
“To produce adequate, authentic, globally acceptable information from experts and all others interested in the state of the Nigeria-African Poultry sectors within the world competitive poultry industry for the purpose of exposing the merging opportunities therein for the mutual benefit of both local and international stakeholders”.
General Information
LOCATION: The summit main programs shall take place at the Premium hall of Dheb Michael Events and Halls,by Federal Housing Estate, Olomore, Abeokuta, South west Nigeria. (check out the photo page)
LANGUAGE: The official Language of the summit shall be English Language.
ACCOMMODATION: Special prizes in various categories of Hotels in Abeokuta with nearness to the summit Centre shall be available for summit participants.
ACCOMPANYING PERSONS’ PROGRAMME: Registered accompanying person shall be invited to participate in all social events of the summit as well as join other rewarding events that will coincide with the scientific program.
EXHIBITION: A professional Exhibition shall be held in conjunction with the summit.
CURRENCY: The Nigeria Naira (N) is the national currency. Few Hotels, Restaurants and shops accepts major credit cards. Convertible foreign currency can be exchanged at the Airport, in Hotels, Banks and Exchange Offices at the currency daily exchange rate.
BANKING AND BUSINESS HOURS: Banks are generally open in Nigeria from 08.00hr – 16.00hr Local time, Mondays – Friday. Most Banks are closed during the weekends and on public holidays. You will find foreign exchange office close to the summit venue, open from 08.00hrs. – 16.00hrs on weekdays. Also shopping Hall have extended hours and open from 09.00hr – 20.00hr Monday through Saturday.
PRESS ROOM: A fully equipped press center will be available to our accredited journalists worldwide throughout the summit.
PASSPORT AND VISAS: Citizens of some countries require visa to enter Nigeria. Some could be obtained at the entrance, but some must be fulfilled prior to entrance. Please contact the Nigeria Embassy or consulate in your country.
